RAFTING ON THE RUSSIAN
707-433-5599

Perfect for families of all ages.
Ideal day getaway for couples.
We are dog-friendly!

"We've tried the other canoe rentals and found that EVERYTHING from the new inflatable canoes to the friendly river rats working for Russian River Adventures made for the best day on the river EVER!"

"This is the best place to take a date during the summer!"

These are just a few of the comments that we have received from folks who have spent a day with us on the Russian River. It's because we love the river, and we give you an easy day of paddling fun and relaxation, which we call "River Time".

River Time

  • Sitting back, putting your feet up on the tubes, and letting the river's gentle current carry you over the river's beautiful cobble.
  • Laying across the tubes while your paddling partner occasionally steers the SOAR canoe.
  • Seeking out and playing on the rope swings that dot the river bank.
  • The variety of birdlife you will encounter: egrets, heron, osprey, kingfisher, ducks, and owls.
  • The many refreshing swimming holes along the way.
  • The very intimate feel of this section of the Russian.
  • Wandering among giant redwoods a short distance from the river.

Why Choose SOAR / Russian River Adventures?

  • The most secluded section of Russian River
  • Our canoes are more comfortable, more stable, more fun!
  • Bring Fido with you in your canoe. He'll love it!
  • The best section on the Russian River for seeing birds and wildlife!
  • Less paddle time, more time to play in the water, or to hang out on a gravel bar.
  • The best family experience on the river.
  • We do not overcrowd the river with hundreds of loud, metal canoes.
  • Our daily limit is 30 canoes! Come have fun on the river, the way it is meant to be enjoyed.

Start time:
Please plan on arriving at our Healdsburg office at 10 o'clock in the morning. You will launch your canoe about 30 minutes after your arrival at our office. Actual paddle time is approximately 3 hours, and most people usually take a leisurely, fun 4 - 5 hours to complete the trip.

We launch from the base of Memorial Beach Dam, just steps from our office in Healdsburg.
