This is the second set of photos from last summer's trip through the Gates of Lodore. These images were taken by river guide / photographer / environmental activist Leon Werdinger. Leon set us about 20 images, and we had a hard time choosing which to use. Lodore offers many miles of scenic flat, moving water, but I really liked how Leon captured the whitewater action. Larry Rice paddling solo through Class III rapid SOB, Cliff and Susie Jacobson on the same rapid, Larry Bartlett and Dennis Nayback getting close w/ Lucifer in Hell's Half Mile, Wendy Grater and Bob Tucker plunging through Disaster Falls, Mary Pat Zitzer and Alan Kesselheim soaring through Moonshine rapid, head SOARman, Larry Laba in soft focus near Winnie's, and a nice image of an S14 getting some much needed rest.
