Rick and Blanche Catch Steelies on the Deschutes

Thanks Larry for the help on my new Soar 14. I have to tell you that although I bought it without ever seeing or trying one out, it has exceeded all my expectations. My S14 handles white water, shallow water, and the load of three fisherman with gear. I enjoy answering all the questions that come up when curious folks see how perfect this craft is for the type of water I was fishing.

First of all, the section of the Deschutes River I fish has no boat ramp to pull the boat out , so the car top ability of the SOAR is perfect. I ran a section of river almost every day for a month that was about three miles in length. On the Deschutes River in Oregon, you have to fish while wading, so the SOAR is used to get to spots that would have otherwise been inaccessible.
