These photos have been sent to us from Burma where SOARs are used in humanitarian efforts in aiding Karen and other tribal
refugees that have been forced from their homes by the military regime. In several photos, you can see a makeshift bamboo raft
made at the riverside being used to carry people and supplies across rivers. Of course it sinks!
SOARs have been used in Burma for over 5 years in training and transporting relief workers across Burmese rivers, as well as
aiding villagers and refugees. They have proven to be the most rugged and reliable boats that can also be transported over long
distances, and rapidly deployed in cases of emergency.
