Hi Larry,
We got our S16 all the way up to the arctic and are very happy with it.
The outfitter up there had two collapsible kayaks (not worthy for scuba
divers to begin with). It took him over two hours to set his two up
while I set the soar up in about ten minutes (for my first time doing
it!). I was very impressed with the stability as we took it out with
three divers in gear and were able to use it to roll off of as well as
to climb back on.
The trip went very well with ice climbing and scuba diving gear. There
was a TV
show shot on location and the SOAR might make it into the show.
Unfortunately there weren't a whole lot of whales in the area so I can't
comment on the attraction effect but I am taking it back to another
location
full of whales in mid July. It was primarily for that July trip that I
wanted the boat but I wanted to test it on the first trip in more
controlled
conditions.
Thanks again for your help.
Best regards,
Graham Dickson
