Here are some pics from our summer's Yampa trip.This is already the 5th expedition that Fran and I have run in our S16 in 2008! As usual, it works like a charm. There were mostly hard shell canoes on this trip, but Fran and I were the mostcomfortable on the water, and running all the rapids.

In the final pic that I'm sending, you'll see 4 people in our S16. Our 2 "passengers" flipped their hard shell. The high flows whisked their canoe downstream, and Fran and I rescued them and paddled them more than a mile downstream until we caught up w/ the group that corralled the hard shell. No other boat would have been able to help these guys. They would have had a very long, difficult hike to retrieve their canoe had it not been for us in our S16! Despite having an S16 loaded w/ our gear that you can see from the other pics we had no problem getting them dowstream, and believe me, they were
so grateful!!

What a great year for "SOARing" this has been!
