Costa Rica is world renowned for its pristine whitewater rivers and breathtaking flat-water wildlife paddling. Abundant rainfall, warm water, and a wide variety of rivers and eco-systems are what make Costa Rica's rainforest a paradise for paddlers. SOAR has created a great paddling and hiking adventure that features the best of Costa Rica's rainforests, national parks and beaches. Co-led by Costa Rican nauralist guides, this 11 day itinerary visits remote locales that are known for their exquisite flora and fauna. Our small group will travel through the countryside in a spacious luxury bus, spending 10 nights in unique rainforest lodges and country inns.

Itinerary at-a-Glance: Day 1 - San Jose, transfer to Caribbean lowlands Day 2 - Hike La Selva Biological Preserve, Puerto Viejo river (Class I). Day 3 - Tres Amigos river (Class I-II-) Day 4 - A river in the Arenal region (Class I-II), Arenal Volcano, Hot Springs. Day 5 - La Pura Vida! Day 6 - Rio Celeste (hike) Day 7 - Rio Tenorio and Rio Corobici (Class I-II) Day 8 - Tarcoles, Scarlet Macaw migration, canopy tour / zip line. Day 9 - Savegre River (Couple of class III's) -optional Day 10 - Manuel Antonio National Park, wildlife. Day 11 - Return to San Jose / Airport

$2395 per person, based on double occupancy for 11 day trip.

Activities: Flat-water, moving current paddling on four rivers, Whitewater paddling (optional) on one river, Hiking, Wildlife & bird watching in three bio-preserves/ National Parks, Canopy tour, Zip line, Hot Springs, Volcano, Beaches & more

Guides: Full time Naturalist and River oooooooooooooooooooooooo.Guides at all times.

Equipment: SOAR Inflatables canoes and all paddling gear provided.

Does not include:
Airfare, alcoholic beverages, departure tax, laundry, tips for guides, incidentals, or any costs associated with days before or after itinerary.

Payment / Cancellation Policy:
A $500.00 deposit shall be paid at the time of the reservation. Balance to be paid 30 days prior to departure. Any cancellation more than 30 days prior to departure will receive a full refund. Cancellations more than 15 days prior to departure will receive a 50% refund of amount paid. Cancellations less than 15 days prior to departure will not receive any refunds.
